Each of your OWL assignments has a due date associated with it. You can see the due date on the Course Assignments page or the Unit Menu page. Before the due date, all the work that you do on an assignment can improve your grade. In general, you can work on assignment over and over again, and your best score is maintained. But it may be that your instructor limits the number of attempts that you have on an assignment.
After the due date has passed, you can continue to work on assignments (except for surveys), but all your work is just PRACTICE. You’ll see your practice scores on the Unit Menu, question and answer pages, but your grade on the assignment overall will NOT change. The grade that counts is the one that you get before the due date, and it is always listed on the Course Assignments page.
